Story
Off the Record was established in 1977 and supports young people’s mental health to fulfil their potential for a brighter future, with the provision of free counselling for those living in Havant and South East Hampshire (aged 11-25 years old)
OTR supports families too, providing free family counselling and individual counselling for parents and carers We support the wellbeing of those in our community, by providing free workshops on managing emotions, for young people, in schools and ‘You First’ workshops for parents and carers, supporting them in their role
OTR also support Young Carers, living in Havant, by providing support sessions, respite and trips in the holidays, ensuring Young Carers have the same opportunities as their non caring peers
OTR is the only free at point of access counselling service in the area, and is there for those in the community who need help with their mental health and wellbeing 1,000’s of individuals register for support each year and to remain free, we rely on fundraising
I became Havant Borough Council's cabinet appointment to Off The Record in May this year and although not sure running the Great South Run was in the job description, I am now delighted to be able to help raise funds to keep this excellent service free for the young people of Havant. I last ran a marathon in 2012, so I have some training to do!
Please make a donation, so that OTR can continue for the next 50 years and beyond
