In 2025 I will be taking part in three half marathons to raise funds for Air Ambulance NI. In June it will be the Lisburn Half Marathon, in September it will be the Belfast Half Marathon and then in October I will take part in the Amsterdam Half Marathon.

Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for NI. Serious or life-threatening situations can happen to anyone at any time and on average every day one individual finds themselves in need of AANI.

Every day in Northern Ireland, two people need the services of the air ambulance medical team. It could be a road traffic collision, fall from a height, farm accident, sports incident, or sudden cardiac arrest to name a few. Whatever the critical situation, the air ambulance doctor and paramedic are airborne in minutes, travelling to the furthest part of Northern Ireland in less than 25minutes. At the scene, they provide medical care that is usually only available when the patient reaches the hospital and it can be the difference between life and death. With your help, we can bring the hospital to the patient in minutes.
