Last year our friend Lisa died. One of the activities that she loved was to get on to the beach at Fleetwood, Lancs.

Wheelchairs cannot go on sand, they need bigger wheels. Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs provides a free loan to any one who wants to access the sand and sea, who otherwise would not be able to.

My cycle ride starts from their base in Fleetwood on June 2nd, 2026 at 2pm and takes me to Redcar beach, on June 5th, near to where Lisa grew up. I will be back via my bike to Fleetwood on June 10th.

Lisa also enjoyed trips to beaches across the country. Redcar Cleveland Council are supporting this venture too.
