12 personal challenges in 12 months
So I have set myself a challenge to incorporate things I love and also to take me outside of my comfort zone. Thanks to Cain Wallace for putting up with yet another one of my 💡.
Over the next 12 months, from 1st September 2023, I would like to complete the below in order to raise money for charity.
I'll complete this with many friends and family who have offered support but I'd gladly hear from you to support too.
12 miles-a-running
11 miles-a-hiking
10 miles cycling
9 Nordic Walking Miles ✔ Completed 24/09/2023
8 Hitsonas - Next Challenge due 06/12/2023
7 Daunting Days (that is to say Seven Miles Walking and One Mile Outdoor swimming in Seven Days in Seven different Nationals Parks)
6 super swimming miles (outdoors)
5 Race4lifes
4 sweaty swimming miles (indoors)
3 events-in-one ✔ Completed 22/10/2023
2 kayaking miles
And a mountain in a National Park. ✔ Completed 02/09/2023
Now for the most important part I'm personally raising money for Parkinson’s UK and Severn Hospice, and everyone who knows me will know how personal these charities are to me.
Dad was diagnosed with Parkinsons over 13 years ago and has had great support from the Telford and Wrekin Parkinsons support group, with bowling trips, speech therapy and other group activities. Any donations you can give will help us others with gaining this type of support. There is currently no cure for Parkinsons so donating will help others with this support.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
