Story
In 2017, my lovely friend Morag was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought valiantly and bravely right to the end, trying any and every treatment suggested by her team, regardless of the pain and suffering this caused her. She had an amazing zeal and energy and love of life, she didn't want to leave it any earlier than she had to, particularly leaving her beautiful family; Raj, Danielle and Kirsty.
Unfortunately, her time eventually ran out on 9th April 2026, devastating all who knew her as we all contemplated life without her love and support, two things she seemed to give in abundance to all her friends and family.
I ran the Race for Life for her last year, but had no idea that she would be gone within a year, so this year feels very special.
Nearly 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK's ground breaking work. No matter how cancer affects us, life is worth Racing for. I've joined Cancer Research UK's Race for Life to raise money for life-saving cancer research.
