Story
Losing my son Josh who was loved by so many hurts in ways I didn’t know were possible. I have the most amazing support from my incredible family and friends. They have loved me, been there unconditionally, and are beside me every step of the way. Their strength is helping carry me through a time no parent should ever have to face. Even so, grief is deeply personal, and there are feelings and thoughts that are hard to share not because I am not supported, but because loss like this changes you in ways that are difficult to explain.
As I take time away from work to focus on trying to navigate this new life and being there for my family, I also want to turn this opportunity into something positive. I’m taking on some challenges raising money for charities that are close to my heart.
Cruse UK provide free support their aim is to make sure that nobody has to face grief alone offering a welcoming space to talk, understand emotions and find a way through loss.
I’m raising money for Cruse in memory of my son Josh because they are supporting me and my family with compassion and care. They do this for so many people living with loss, and they deserve to be there for anyone who needs them.
Thank you for helping me honour Josh, and for supporting a charity that truly understands grief. 💙
