Story
On 1st April 2017 the world lost a beautiful soul and I sadly said goodbye to my wonderful Mum, and new Nanny to Esther.
Mum spent her last 3months at Dove House Hospice. The compassionate care she received and unwavering support offered to her loved ones was remarkable. The palliative care they provided gave my mum the dignity and respect she deserved at the end of hers life. It meant that we could put aside the medical and clinical care of mum and spend our last months together making the most of the time we had left. That is priceless.
Unfortunately, cancer touches the lives of so many. Dove House is a small local centre that relies heavily on the charitable donations it receives.
I for one would never like to envisage a time when charities such as Dove House Hospice were no longer around to offer vital support to people at a time of such need.
I am participating in the Hull 10K to show my support and help to raise funds. Anything you can donate however big or small is hugely appreciated.
The more people that know about Dove House Hospice, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family
