Story
Today is Legal Aid of North Carolina's first Day of Giving. I am not normally one to make these type of asks but here goes. Most of you know that I have spent the last thirty four years working as an attorney at Legal Aid.
Legal Aid helps people facing eviction, handles cases for domestic violence victims, fights for consumer protection, helps people get benefits to which they are entitled. I cannot think of a more impactful nonprofit to support.
It's getting more difficult for people to get legal assistance in order to be treated fairly in our justice system. I am very proud to be able to help people in need of legal representation. When people believe they are being heard and that justice is being served, they not only may win their case but they also believe more in our system of justice. That's a good thing.
If you typically make gifts to charities, please consider adding Legal Aid of North Carolina to your list this year.
Thanks for listening.
