On 19 September 2026, I’ll be taking on the Spinnaker Tower Abseil — a personal challenge that’s equal parts exciting and nerve-wracking, but nothing compared to the fear and bravery shown every day by survivors supported by Aurora New Dawn.

Having proudly been part of the fearful Aurora New Dawn team, I have seen first-hand how vital their support is for adults, children, and young people who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, and stalking. I’ve been there to see how much courage it takes to start again, and how the right support can help someone feel safer, stronger, and more hopeful. That’s why I’m fundraising for Aurora New Dawn with a target of £250.

Every donation helps provide real, practical support for people who need it most — from emergency transport to reach safety, to one-to-one safety planning with a specialist advocate, to emotional support for a child, or essential items for someone starting over.

Aurora New Dawn works tirelessly every day to stand beside survivors, and they cannot do it without us.
