Kids Channel relay swim 2025

Mencap wants a world where people with a learning disability gain an equal right to choice opportunity and respect. We believe that support for the families and carers of people with a learning disability is vital to achieving our vision

Story

Gio is a Neurodiverse 16 year old, who is already a double awarding winning channel relay swimmer who successfully crossed the English Channel in 11hrs 48mins in July of 2024, he is swimming again in the summer of 2025 raising important funds for Mencap (all money raised goes to Mencap the swim is paid for by us parents)

Gio has worked hard since September 2024 training for this next challenge whilst completing his GCSE’s, over the winter and spring the training is in less warm water, ice swims and open water, It’s hard on the mind and body but it’s all in preparation for the english channel and whatever that throws at him, please support Gio in his quest to raise the funds so desperately needed by Mencap
