We are raising funds for our Special Educational Needs Sensory Room.

The SEN team aim to develop a sensory room within Glencraig IPS. A sensory room is a specially designed area which combines a range of stimuli to help children develop and engage their senses. Resources may include lights, sounds, colours, sensory equipment, soft play resources and aromas. The sensory room is a safe environment that allows children using it to explore and interact without risk. We have managed to utilise the old learning support room within the school and have already cleared it to use as a sensory area. We have utilised resources already within the school to get the room started. We do however need more resources and specially designed equipment to ensure that the room is a specially designed environment that caters to the sensory needs of different children, facilitating their participation in learning.
