Our Story & Mission...

We are a social events group called ‘Girls Get Social’ who are committed to creating a safe space for women around the West Midlands to come together to meet new people and make new friends! So far, we have run monthly main events in Birmingham and Wolverhampton and held 'mini meet-ups' all around the West Midlands. These are all designed to combat loneliness, and boost self-esteem and confidence whilst creating unforgettable memories for our community.

The founders of Girls Get Social are three girls who met online through Facebook groups, understanding the difficulty of meeting new people and making new friendships. We created this group to facilitate women of all ages to come together and make these friendships in person rather than just online! We are a not-for-profit group, with 100% of our ticket proceeds go towards the running of our events and making it the best experience possible for our girls! We will soon officially register our legal status to allow more opportunities for our community.

About WAITS...

WAITS is a West Midlands-based established charity which has collaborated with women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse for almost 30 years.

They offer 4 key services which aim to support women to achieve their goals, feel empowered and gain independence: Domestic Abuse Help, Community Integration, Refuge Accommodation, Volunteering & Influencing.

Girls Get Social are highly eager to support & actively give back to girls in need. So, we are proud to be fundraising and forming a partnership with this charity, whose mission holds such a large proportion of our hearts. 100% of donations will go towards the purchasing of items that will help women in need live the comfortable life they deserve.
