In honour of Women's History Month, Girls Get Social will be hosting a Giveaway! But not just any giveaway. We are utilising this month of celebration to support local female-owned businesses & give back to women in need, all starting on 8th March - International Women's Day...

Who are we?

We are a social events group called ‘Girls Get Social’ who are committed to creating a safe space for women around the West Midlands to come together to meet new people and make new friends! We run main seasonal socials for the special holidays (Galentines, Christmas, Summer & Halloween) and hold weekly 'mini meet-ups' for our interest-based sub-communities (creative, active, skating, mindful, reading, food, drinks, gaming & walking) all around the West Midlands. These are all designed to combat loneliness, and boost self-esteem and confidence whilst creating unforgettable memories for our community.

We created this group to facilitate women of all ages coming together and making these friendships in person rather than just online! We are proud to be a not-for-profit group, with 100% of our ticket proceeds going towards the running of our events and making it the best experience possible for our girls! We will soon officially register our legal status to allow more opportunities for our community.

About WAITS...

WAITS is a West Midlands-based established charity which has collaborated with women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse for almost 30 years.

Their Vision: To create a legacy of freedom, empowerment and safety for women and families

Their Mission: Working collaboratively, equipping women to make positive choices that transforms their futures

WAITS is a specialist in supporting women from Black and Ethnic Minority Communities. They understand the cultural and religious barriers that prevent women escaping domestic abuse.

How do I join the Giveaway?

In order to be entered into the draw to win these fabulous items/experiences, you must do the following:

1. Place a minimum £1 donation - the bigger the donation, the higher the chance of winning! Make sure to put your Instagram Handle in your donation message so we know who you are!

2. Be following WAITS & all our collaborators on Instagram

3. Tag or write a short sentence about a woman who inspires you in the comments of our Instagram Post

The giveaway will close on 24th March & the winners will be announced shortly after. When entering the draw, you will be in with the chance of winning one of our lovely prizes/experiences - donated by some amazing local female-owned businesses! Please see our Instagram Post for more information
