On Monday 25th August, Girls Who Walk Preston will take on the Preston Guild Wheel to raise funds for Trust House Lancashire <3

Trust House Lancashire is a specialist support center providing services to survivors of sexual violence and abuse in Lancashire. They offer counselling, therapy, and support for adults, children, and families impacted by sexual violence. Their services are tailored to individual needs and aim to empower survivors to heal, rebuild their lives, and regain control.

In February 2025, it was announced that Trust House Lancashire will be forced to close if it does not raise £300,000 by the end of September. In 2024 alone, Trust House Lancashire supported over 1000 survivors of rape and sexual violence, ranging from ages 4 through to 77 - we want to make sure they can continue to support many more for years to come.

For us, what began as a small, casual Sunday morning stroll has grown exponentially into a community-led group that provides women, girls and non-binary people with a safe space to connect with other likeminded individuals. In just 5 short months, our numbers have skyrocketed, showing just how needed a group like GWWP is in Preston. Now, we want to use our platform and our voice for good, and give back to the local charities that support our communities here in Preston.

Whilst we cannot single-handedly save Trust House Lancashire, we are going to do our very best to try - which is why we are doing what we do best and WALKING! 21 miles of walking and talking, all in aid of an amazing local charity, without whom many survivors and their families would have been lost <3

We will not be charging for entry to this event, however we do ask that you make a minimum donation of £2, using your full name as the reference. This link can then be shared with friends, family and anyone else who might want to support you in our journey! On the day, we ask that all walkers wear *PURPLE* to show our support for Trust House Lancashire!
