Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. A lot of you will know Giselle has had treatment for lymphoma several times throughout her adult life. In the spring of 2025, she had confirmation that she had relapsed again and this round required her to undergo cutting edge CAR-T therapy at the wonderful Christie Hospital in Manchester. Without this treatment and the amazing care of all the staff at The Christie, quite simply there would be no Giselle here now!

The treatment was successful and we are now both enjoying life again after a very tough year! Giselle continues to be under the care of The Christie and it is likely she will need further treatment in the future but currently, options for a curative treatment are running out.

We have the amazing opportunity to run the London Marathon together this April to raise money for The Christie and specifically to fund clinical trials in haematology which will hopefully help fund further treatment options in the future for Giselle.

Running the marathon is a big ask! After CAR-T, Giselle struggled with her mobility & the treatment has left her with side effects that need to be managed daily. Neither of us have run for a very long time and it definitely gets harder as you get older! We are both finding the training pretty tough but we owe our future together to The Christie so we’re determined to be there on April 26th.

So in turn, we have a big ask of you, our friends and colleagues. We have a big target to achieve and we are conscious we have asked you many times before to donate to cancer charities. We will be so grateful for any money you can spare for our cause and hope to see some of you on route in London to cheer us on!
