I will be running the Glasgow half marathon to raise money for Glasgow Marrow. I am a volunteer with Glasgow Marrow and have been for 2 years. It is an incredibly rewarding and imporant part of my uni experience. We organise fundraising and donor recruitment events to support the lifesaving work of the blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan.

Every 14 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. Anthony Nolan match incredible people willing to donate their stem cells to people with blood cancer who are in desperate need of a stem cell transplant. For someone with blood cancer, this could be their last chance of survival.

Marrow recruit one in four people who go on to donate stem cells, which means hundreds of lives are potentially saved by Marrow's incredible work. Additionally, every penny and every pound that Glasgow Marrow raises will help to continue saving the lives of people with blood cancer.
