Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 7th January 2024, I will be attempting to break the 24hr Deadlift Guinness World Record (total weight deadlifted in a 24hr period by a single person), the current record is 580,220kg.

I am taking on this mammoth challenge to try to raise funds and awareness for The Fire Fighters Charity, who do great work helping to support firefighters both past and present aswell as there families by providing a broad range of health and well-being services.

This is a charity I am proudly supporting as I am an industrial firefighter with Mitie Emergency Response Service,

And an on-call firefighter with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

The event will be taking place at SAS gym, Leyland, Lancashire, the owners of the gym are kindly letting me use the gym facilities for this event and the gym will be open to the public throughout the full 24hr period, allowing them to come down and show support.

I will be posting updates to keep you informed on how my training is going,

Thanks for your support Glen.
