Early Lives, a fund within UCLH Charity, supports the babies, families and staff of the Neonatal Unit at University College Hospital.

Story

We were over the moon to find out we were having a baby. At our 20-week scan, our world was turned upside down when we received the news no parents should ever hear: our baby was too small, not growing properly, and had a very small chance of making it. We prayed for our miracle and are so grateful we got one. 🙏 After 9 weeks of uncertainty and weekly scans, at 29 weeks and 5 days, the decision was made to deliver the baby for the safety of both Ronnie and Liv.

Ronnie was born on the 17th of October 2024 at the UCLH weighing 1.2lbs (583g)

After a long challenging 145 days spent on the neonatal unit filled with many ups and downs we got through it and finally got our baby boy home, but wouldn’t of been possible without the support of the doctors and nurses on the unit at the uclh

It has been filled with challenges, but it has also shown us the incredible strength of these tiny little fighters . Me and my friends are now participating in a personal challenge 3 Peaks in 24 Hours' on October 4th, 2025, to raise funds for Early Lives - UCLH Neonatal Unit. This charity plays a vital role in supporting families like ours during their most difficult times.

We have set a target of £5,000 to help ensure that other families receive the care and support they need. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of many. Together, let’s create more miracles! Thank you for considering helping us on this journey.
