Story
My mum has started chemo and is less than impressed at losing her hair, where as I have had an abundance of hair for many years now and she's always been less that impressed at that too,
Out of a mix of solidarity and to cheer her up, I agreed to get my long locks removed and whilst I can't give my hair to her, I can make sure it goes to an excellent cause, The Little Princess Trust who provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions (more than 2000 a year).

But the hair is only half of the story, each wig costs £550 to make, so I'm attempting to raise money to contribute to that cost.
To keep it interesting, I'm doing this a little like the a kickstarter where the more money I raise, the more humiliation I'll face.
[ These are not binding, an element of common sense needs to be applied and they need the support of the wonderful Caroline and Kim at Tigaki Hair Studio, here in Gildersome ]
£0 - They'll cut my hair to something reasonable and styled
£100 - They'll buzz it to a number 3
£200 - They'll buzz it to a number 2
£300 - They'll buzz it to a number 1
£400 - They'll buzz it with no guard, I'll go fully bald
£550 - Highest single donation can choose what I'm wearing whilst having it cut (keep in mind, this is a place of business, and it's February, so NO Borat mankini's, speedos etc, however for this much I'll do a Burnley, or MK Lightening shirt with Lidl trainers, or you favourite Disney character, whatever amuses you most).
Also, if you have any "special requests", I'm happy to consider it!
I did consider options for various stupid haircuts, but I want to maximise the amount of hair donated.
The date of my haircut is 2nd Feb. No, you can't come and watch (or help!) but I'll make sure there are pics (and no, I won't live stream it, that's not fair on Kim).
So help children suffering with cancer AND humiliate me at the same time! How could you possibly say no?!
From The Little Princess Trust
We currently supply around 2,000 wigs every year and so The Little Princess Trust needs financial donations, as well as hair donations, for its free wig provision service. We also fund childhood cancer research and, since 2016, have supported 128 projects searching for kinder and more effective treatments. This all means that every pound you raise helps us give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer.
