We are My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and we're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND. We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be taking part in a number of events this year to raise money for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. The first event is Hyrox Glasgow in March, followed by the Dublin Marathon in October.

MND is a disease which affects the motor neurons of the nervous system. It is life shortening and mostly progresses rapidly. MND can lead to weakness in the muscles and eventually paralysis. Although it does not usually affect the senses. Unfortunately, 1/3 of people succumb to MND within a year and more than 1/2 within two years of diagnosis. Approximately 1,100 people are diagnosed with MND every year in the UK. Up to 5,000 adults in the UK are affected at any one time.

As someone who is incredibly grateful for movement, both for it's physical and mental benefits, I can't see a better charity to raise money for.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please give generously for this great cause - if only to help me survive the pain cave on multiple occasions!
