Story
On the 22nd April 2026, I will be climbing Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the UK. This isn't just a physical challenge; it's an opportunity to raise funds for Lives in Focus, a charity that's doing incredible work supporting children's passions in art, sport, and photography across the UK, Kenya, and Tanzania.

This climb is a personal challenge for me. I started my climbing journey in 2024 with Snowdon, followed by Scafell Pike. I'll never forget the Snowdon climb; it was an incredibly tough lesson in resilience. My hands were freezing and numb, and the conditions got worse the higher we got, with snow and ice covering the trail. But pushing through that discomfort taught me the power of striving for something even when things are difficult.

That feeling is exactly why I've chosen to support Lives in Focus. As a mother of two incredibly creative daughters, I've seen firsthand how hobbies and passions can build a child's confidence. I believe every child deserves that same opportunity. I'm especially inspired by the charity's work in communities in Kenya and Tanzania, where they have run photography workshops for kids and even provided desks for schools to ensure every child has a comfortable place to sit and thrive.

To prepare for Ben Nevis, I'll be putting my walking boots to work, building up my stamina and mental toughness. This mountain is a symbol of the challenge many children face in accessing the resources they need to pursue their dreams.
Your donation will directly help Lives in Focus continue their vital work.
Here is a breakdown of what your donation can achieve:
- £25 provides a tennis workshop and a full meal for a child in Burundi, or a padel and painting workshop with a full meal for a child in Kenya.
- £35 can purchase a desk to seat three children in a school in Tanzania, or provide a child with a full year of meals at a school in Tanzania.
