Alcatraz swim for Battersea

Glyn Marston is raising money for Battersea
In memory of Roland Marston (Dad)

Alcatraz swim 2025 · 31 August 2025

We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

My father, Roland (Roly) Marston was a supporter of Battersea. Sadly we lost my dad in January 2025, a heart broken family of seven children, 31 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. A much loved character in the community has gone and I wish to continue his legacy and raise funds in his memory, god bless you Roland Marston.

Battersea will always be here for every dog and cat.

Battersea takes dogs and cats in, gives them the expert care they need and finds them new homes that are just right for them.

They help pet owners make informed choices, provide training advice, and campaign for changes in the law.

And they help other rescue centres and charities at home and abroad because they want to be here for every dog and cat, wherever they are, for as long as they need Battersea.
