My first JustGiving fundraiser was in 2009 for The Newcastle Sun Walk (uniting against Breast Cancer) which I took part in after completing my treatment for Breast Cancer. I was supported throughout by so many people and since then I have wanted to support others affected by cancer. I have so far raised over £6500 for Cancer Charities by taking part in two 10K SunWalks, a Yoga Challenge and by hosting many Cards and Cakes Sales.

This year I am taking on my biggest challenge yet. On 7th September I will be WALKING (with possibly some dancing!) a half marathon by participating in the Great North Run 2025. I am thrilled that my friends Vicki Hook and Sharon Jones will be joining me and we are fundraising as a team. With your generous support we are hoping to raise £1000 for Breast Cancer Now, the charity dedicated to giving support for today and hope for the future for everyone affected by breast cancer.

I think the furthest I have ever walked is about 6 miles, so walking a half marathon will be a challenge for me! I have started training and so far managed 5.2 miles (so a long way to go but I will keep you posted!! )
