The ALG School Feeding programme improves school attendance through the incentive of a free meal while supporting student performance by reducing hunger during classes. It promotes better health and gender equality, as girls do no have to skip school to cook for their brothers at home. Meals are provided to the entire school population at SLM anda SVP School.

For a monthly cost of £5/child, the school population of 2 636 students (771 at SLM and 1865 at SVP) receive a daily nutritious hot meal, which sometimes is their only meal during the day.
