Matt Turl is raising money for Sue Ryder
In memory of Karen Turl

Golf Day · 13 June 2026

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Golf Fore: Honouring Lives, Supporting Care

In November 2024, we lost our mum to aggressive lung cancer. It happened fast—too fast. She missed Matt’s wedding and the simple joys of watching her grandchildren grow. Amid the shock and decisions—funeral arrangements, legal matters, and everything else—Sue Ryder was there. Their support made an unbearable time just a little more manageable.

This event is for anyone who has experienced that kind of loss. Whether it was a parent, a child, a grandparent, or a friend, Golf Fore gives people a way to come together, reflect, and raise funds for the organisations that step in when families need it most.

Charities like Sue Ryder, Marie Curie, Macmillan, and Longfield Hospice rely on public generosity to deliver end-of-life care and bereavement support. The care they gave to my mum and our family made a huge difference.

The first Golf Fore event will take place in June 2026, with proceeds going directly to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice. Form a team, play in memory of someone, and share who you're golfing for. You don’t need to know us personally—we welcome anyone who wants to take part and support a good cause.

Your donation helps ensure no one has to go through loss alone.

Give what you can. Join us if you can. Help where it matters most.
