Parkinson's Charity Golf Day 2025 - The Nurses Appeal

Simon Woodlock is raising money for Parkinson’s UK

Golf Day · 15 September 2025

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Parkinson's is the fastest growing neurological illness in the world

With no cure, a progressive illness and a complex array of over 40 symptoms, specialist support is vital.

Simon has been diagnosed with Parkinson's for 6 years now and knows what it means to have access to the specialist care of a Parkinson's Nurse. But many don't.

20% of people with Parkinson's do not have regular access to a specialist Parkinson's Nurse in the UK. That equates to approx 30,000 patients and a shortfall of over 100 nurses.

That is why Simon is supporting The Nurses Appeal for Parkinson's UK

In the last 2 years Simon has raised £36,000 for Parkinson's charities and is hosting the Parkinson's Charity Golf Day at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club for the second year where 100 golfers will join together to raise vital funds.

Even if you can't join Simon to play golf on the day but would still like to contribute to this worthy cause please do - we'd be really grateful!

Many Thanks go to our lead sponsors Continuate & The Bike Warehouse for making the event possible
