Hello! We're Goostrey Tennis Club, a Cheshire based club in the heart of Goostrey Village. Thank you for taking the time to read our story💚

The Goostrey Sports Pavilion & Playing Field, where we play, is a fantastic community space. However, the court surface is now over 15 years old and unfortunately no longer drains properly, leading to large areas of standing water and muddy, slippery patches.

The deterioration of the current surface has had a significant impact on the club and community activities, including the cancellation of social tennis, junior tennis coaching sessions, withdrawal from the County Tennis League, and cancelled football social games.

To help raise the necessary funds for a new court surface, we are challenging ourselves to complete a Sponsored '24 Hours of Tennis'. The tennis-athon is taking place on Friday 30th 2:00pm till Saturday the 31st 2:00pm, and will see us playing non-stop tennis for 24 hours, taking it in turns to play singles and doubles matches - even through the early hours of the morning!
