Bristol Epic Trail 10k Pro Ruck · 12 October 2025

The PDWRA is a completely voluntary network, operating throughout the UK. Our aim is to assist any pug in need, in any part of the country. Each year we rescue and re-home between 200 and 400 pugs. The PDWRA operates across 10 regional areas, covering the whole of the UK, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Full details and contact telephone numbers can be seen on our website.

Story

Hi - I'm doing a 10km ruck (walking very quickly with a heavy rucksack) with 25lb (a bit more than 10kg) on behalf of Bertie, our rescue pug.

Bertie came to us from the Pug Dog Welfare Rescue Association (PDWRA) who do a fantastic job coordinating the fostering and adoption of pugs, and helping with all their medical needs. The people who work there are all volunteers so every penny goes straight to the dog and what it needs.
