Gordon & Stewart's fundraiser for Jaxon's Gift

Gordon Ritson is raising money for Jaxon's Gift
Jaxon’s Gift has been set up to support and raise awareness, within our local community and across Scotland, for families with children and young people who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis, particularly those diagnosed with a Diffuse Midline Glioma (DIPG).

Story

We’re about to make a very bad decision… for a very good reason.

After a few years away, Burkey and the Ritz are back.

In the past, with the help of friends, family and some incredibly generous supporters, we’ve raised over £10,000 for great causes. Along the way, we’ve put ourselves through a fair bit, long days, longer nights, and plenty of moments where we’ve questioned what we were doing.

This time, we’re going bigger.

In June 2026, we’ll be taking on TransAlba, a 1,020-mile self-supported race around Scotland with over 65,000 feet of climbing. We’ll carry everything we need, sleep very little, and aim to complete it in around 4 days.

But this one means more.

Since our last challenge, we’ve both become dads. And that changes your perspective.

We’re raising money for Jaxson’s Gift, a charity set up by David and Ashley after losing their son Jaxson to a rare and aggressive brain tumour. He was diagnosed in April 2024 and passed away just eight months later.

Jaxson’s Gift supports families facing that same devastating reality, helping them create moments and memories when time matters most.

What we’re doing will be tough, physically and mentally, but it’s nothing compared to what these families go through. That perspective will be with us every mile.

If you can, please support.

We know times aren’t easy, but any donation, share or support genuinely makes a difference.
