My fundraiser for Humanity & Inclusion UK

is raising money for Humanity & Inclusion UK

Lands End to John O’Groats · 20 June 2026

We work tirelessly alongside disabled and vulnerable people in 60 countries affected by poverty, conflict and disaster. Our vision is a world of solidarity and inclusion, enriched by our differences, where everyone can live in dignity.

Story

To raise funds for Humanity & Inclusion who support millions of people around the world though emergency aid, rehabilitation and prosthetics, landmine clearance, healthcare, inclusion and rights. This charity was set up in 1982 to fit Cambodian refugees injured by landmines with prosthetics made of bamboo and leather straps. That work continues today.

I am specifically raising money for prosthetic limbs for children affected by bombings in Gaza, Ukraine, Lebanon and other countries. I’ve been horrified to learn of children being dragged from rubble to find out that not only have they lost parents and siblings but also lost one or more of their own limbs.

My way of helping in a small way is to raise money from this bicycle ride. It’s a huge challenge for me as I’m not a long distance cyclist at all. 1500 km is a long way; I hope to do it by 8th July. With your support I am sure I will be given the impetus and drive to succeed.

Please give as much as you can but any amount will be gratefully received with many thanks.
