Gorvins' chosen charity for 2026 is Stockport County Community Trust.

The charity delivers a wide range of inclusive programmes which are designed to support people of all ages and backgrounds. They use football as a way to improve Health & Wellbeing, Inclusion & Participation and Education & Employability. Additionally, their values of the local community align with our own making it a great opportunity to further our drive locally in Stockport.

The trust has many different programmes, some of which are listed below:

• You may have heard of Kits by County where they are trying to ensure that every child in Stockport has a PE kit which allows them to take part in the lesson.

• They run Premier League Kicks, which are free football sessions for young people which ensures that local children are staying active and building positive habits and life skills.

• Their Social Wellbeing Group helps tackle loneliness and mental health challenges. They do this by offering sessions with activities such as yoga, quizzes, art sessions, and social meetups. Alongside this, they also run programmes for mobility issues, learning difficulties and long-term conditions such as Parkinson’s.

• As a HAF (holidays, activities & food) provider, they offer sessions and meals for children during school holidays.
