Hi, I’m Gosia, and on April 6, 2025, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for the Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. This cause is close to my heart, as I’ve been proud to work for the NHS since 2019, in the Occupational Health team.

The year I joined was a turning point for the NHS and the world – the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. I saw the immense dedication, compassion, and resilience of my colleagues as they worked tirelessly to care for our communities during a global crisis. Despite the challenges, NHS staff continue to go above and beyond to support people every single day, and I’m incredibly proud to be part of this family.

On a personal level, sport including running has always been an important part of my life. From school races, matches to Saturday park runs, staying active has been my way of maintaining both physical and mental health. In tough times, stepping outside for a run or a hike with my family has been a source of strength and balance. It’s also something I love sharing with my 8-year-old son, teaching him the value of staying active, building friendships, and finding joy through sport.

In October 2024, I completed my first 10K race with a wonderful group of women I met through running. Their energy, motivation, and shared passion for staying active inspired me to challenge myself and celebrate the joy of running as part of a team. That experience gave me the confidence to take on the challenge of a half marathon.

Now, I’m training not only for the distance but also to make a difference by raising funds for the NHS foundation. Every donation, big or small, will go towards supporting NHS staff and enhancing the incredible care they provide.
