Story
GPS Healthcare is holding a charity week commencing 24th February in aid of Papyrus Suicide Prevention. Throughout the week we are hosting a number of events to raise awareness and much needed funds for this important and deserving charity.
The highlight of the week is a sponsored Hopewalk, by staff and family members, around all 6 of our sites - over 11 miles! Our Hopewalk takes place on March 1st.
We would be very grateful for any support you can provide
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.
PAPYRUS was founded in 1997 by a group of bereaved parents, who had each lost children to suicide. Our founding parents shared core beliefs that suicide is preventable, and that those of us with lived experience of suicide have a valuable and unique contribution to make to the wider conversation around suicide.
GPS Healthcare are proud to support this worthy charity and will be hosting a number of events to help raise awareness of the charity and the amazing work they do, as well as raising funds in support.
Every £10 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are changing lives, thank you.
