Annabel & Grace’s Fundraiser for BEATING Eating Disorders

Walking the Three Yorkshire Peaks⛰️ · 29 May 2025
We are walking of the Three Yorkshire Peaks on May 31st to raise money for Beat Eating Disorders🏔️🏞️
Thank you to everyone who attended our coffee morning!! We have now raised over £2000 for Beat!🩵💜🧡
Hi, our names are Annabel Salt and Grace Fisher.
Did you know 1 in 50 people in the UK are living with an eating disorder?
That’s over 1.25 million people suffering from mental illnesses such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder.
This alarming figure, combined with our own experience with eating disorders, has inspired us to take action in Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2025.
All donations raised will go to BEAT— the UK's leading organisation in supporting those affected by eating disorders. BEAT not only supports those suffering from an eating disorder, but also their friends, family and the healthcare professionals helping them during their recovery—support which we consider invaluable.
Annabel was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa and began her recovery in October 2023. Throughout her journey, Grace has been a huge support to Annabel and her family. Grace visited Annabel regularly to fill her in on the gossip (an incredibly important task), eat with her, and maintain normality wherever possible. Although, this is putting the importance of her friendship more than lightly.
Last year was the most difficult year we have ever faced together (since we met in year 7!) which makes organising this charity fundraiser together feel truly unreal.
Having an eating disorder is an incredibly isolating experience. Lives, families and friends are all impacted. Therefore, our goal with this event is not only to raise money for BEAT, but to raise awareness about how to prevent eating disorders, and to ensure that anyone suffering understands that they are not alone.
