Call me daft or I have seriously lost it but here we are with 12 weeks to go, due to someone being unable to participate I have been given a place in the London Marathon!

A whirlwind of emotions but a challenge I am willing to accept with pure grit and determination.

I will be running for the Charity Myaware which is for Myasthenia. I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis last year; which is a rare lifelong auto immune condition. The money raised for this charity will really help and every penny will make a difference.

Running the Marathon is something I have always dreamt of; I have been applying for several years with no success but here we are in 2025 and I have my chance. The Marathon has always been on my bucket list due to my Dad running the marathon twice and he always wanted to do it again. So, I promised I would run it for him. This is a very bittersweet moment as we lost Dad 2 years ago meaning he won’t be here to watch me complete it person.

The next 12 weeks will be hard, challenging and emotional but it will all be worth it for the most rewarding thing I will ever do.

I stand by my motto, no pain, no gain and that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
