Story
Due to a pretty bad case of shin splints, I’ve had to make the call to defer my London Marathon place to 2027.
Gutted, but it’s the sensible thing to do and gives me time to heal properly. All funds raised will be carried over to next year.
Thanks so much for all the support so far — I really appreciate it.
In April 2027, I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of running the London Marathon in support of Spinal Research.
I’m doing this for my best friend of 22 years, Hannah, who recently sustained a spinal injury caused by a cavernoma. Watching her face such an unimaginable challenge with strength, courage, and resilience has been truly inspiring. Hannah is my biggest inspiration, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come in the last few months.
By running this marathon, I want to raise vital funds for Spinal Research and show Hannah just how much she means to me — every mile I run will be for her and for everyone living with spinal injuries.
Thank you so much for any support you can give.
Grace Xx
