Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sadly, in March 2024, my amazing friend Carly’s mum, Caroline, was diagnosed with bulbar Motor Neurone Disease. Since then, Caroline’s speech has been affected, and she is no longer able to communicate verbally. Her swallow is also impacted, and she now relies on a feeding tube to maintain her fluid intake. Sadly, her breathing will also be affected as the disease progresses.

Motor Neurone Disease is one of the most cruel and devastating illnesses, and it’s something you can never fully understand until you live through it. Caroline is not only Carly’s mum, but she’s a kind, loving person who has always been there for others. Watching her go through this is heart-wrenching for all of us who know her, and Carly is an absolute inspiration in the way she is supporting her mum through this incredibly tough time.

I’m raising money to support the Mark Sommerville Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for MND, and I’m asking for your help. We hold on to hope that a cure will be found in the near future, and I believe that with the help of people like us, we can raise awareness and fund crucial research.

My friends and I will be taking part in a skydive in St Andrews to raise money for The Mark Sommerville Foundation, and I’d be so grateful for any donations. Every little bit helps, and your generosity means the world to us.

Thank you so much for your support! xx
