Grace’s Year Volunteering with Mercy Ships

Volunteer Anaesthesia Supervisor - 1 year · 28 July 2025
From July 2025, I’m planing to go to Sierra Leone to spend a year volunteering with Mercy Ships as the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Supervisor on board the Gloabl Mercy.
Mercy Ships is a global charity that provides free, life-changing surgeries to people in some of the world’s poorest countries and trains local healthcare professionals, ensuring a lasting impact long after the ship departs.
Mercy Ships operates via hospital ships, staffed entirely by volunteers from around the world, to bring hope and healing to those in need. As an Anaesthetist, I’ll be using my skills to support this life-changing mission—but I need your help to make it happen.
How You Can Help?
Since Mercy Ships volunteers pay their own way, I need to raise support to cover my insurance, professional registration, and living costs for the year. Any money raised in addition to this will be forwarded to Mercy Ships projects in Sierra Leone.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help me be part of this incredible work. If you’re able to give, or even just share this page, I’d be truly grateful.
