Grace's fundraiser for Trigeminal Neuralgia Association UK

Grace Miller is raising money for Trigeminal Neuralgia Association UK

Sponsored Walk · 7 October 2025

It aims to provide information and support to members, and to raise awareness of trigeminal neuralgia amongst medical professions and the general public. Above all, it is there to provide hope and encouragement for patients who can feel isolated and depressed as a result of this excrutiatingly painful condition.

Story

My name is Grace, I am 12 years old and I have a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. Trigeminal Neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects a nerve in my face, it causes me to have severe pain and can be set off by many things such as cold weather, eating or even talking. I am aiming to complete a sponsored walk from the South side of the Tay Bridge to Arbroath which is around 20 miles. I would appreciate any donations anyone is able to give.

Thank you, Grace x

As Grace's parents, it's so difficult for us to see her in such terrible pain but we are so proud of how hard she fights to live her life as normal when she can. Grace continues to play football when she can, even when she is exhausted and struggling with side effects of her medication. She always tries to put on a brave face and will tell everyone outside of her close family that she is "fine" even when we know that's not the case.Grace has had a difficult few weeks, including a couple of hospital stays and changes in medication all while also starting high school. Despite this, she is determined to complete the sponsored walk we had already planned for Trigeminal Neuralgia awareness day on the 7th of October. We appreciate any donations to help Grace teach her target.
