Story
Anyone who knows me will probably know I’m not a natural born runner! But when I got the opportunity to sign up to do this event to raise money for such an amazing charity I thought this was a chance to push myself to enter- despite the fact it involves running just over 21km!
Brain injuries are a significant part of my life given my twin sister has severe learning difficulties arising from a brain injury. Every day I can see from a personal perspective how much this can affect a family and The Child Brain Injury Trust does so much to support families when a child is suffering from a brain injury through difficult and challenging times.
Every half an hour in the UK, a child or young person will acquire a brain injury. The Child Brain Injury Trust provides information, support and training to anyone affected by this devastating and life changing condition. Visit our website www.childbraininjurytrust.org.uk to find out more about us and the work we do.
