I'm swimming for birds! 🐦

I'm raising money for Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Trust (SBBOT) by completing a 5km endurance open water swim.

Sandwich Bay are a fantastic organisation, dedicated to bird conservation in the UK.

On a personal level, SBBOT has become one of the places where I am happiest. For the past year I have been getting up at 5am weekly, and marching across the field in search of birds, training as a bird ringer with the team there, and have been amazed by the skill, knowledge, and dedication to conservation shown by all the volunteers and staff there. As part of a network of British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) bird observatories, SBBOT run a structured ringing programme.

To help support this amazing effort to preserve and care about our UK wildlife, I will be swimming 5km in open water this September across the lake at Hever Castle! Please donate and sponsor me! I have been training hard, and though I know the 5km will be exhausting and cold, it would mean so much to raise some money for this important cause along the way!
