My father in law to be - William "Bill" Barker, received an unexpected terminal diagnosis of Acute Myelomonocytic Leukemia at the end of May 2024. Bill was an active, fit, and passionate 73 year old, making this diagnosis especially shocking to all who knew him. On the 20th July 2024 Bill sadly lost his battle with this horrible disease.

Bill fought each day with incredible strength and positivity. He was so strong and determined until the end. It will be an honour to run the London landmarks half on his behalf and raise money for such an important charity, a charity he chose to support before he passed.
