Story
This year, Tom and I will be running Manchester Marathon for St Rocco’s Hospice.
It was hugely inspiring to run for The Christie last year, as they looked after Mum during her diagnosis and treatment.
Hospice care was never something we’d have imagined for our Mum, but as her cancer was so complex, it became a place we needed.
St Rocco’s supported Mum completely and holistically. Mum was always treated with dignity and love. Our family were surrounded by truly caring staff who treat their role as more than just a job.
We want to say thank you to Rocco’s (albeit that would never be enough) and raise some money in Mum’s memory. We made good use of the facilities at the Hospice, and want to give back in any way we can.
Any donations - big or small - would be greatly appreciated.
