Comfort Cases means so much to me on a personal level. They support children and young people who are entering foster care or the care system, often suddenly and with very little of their own belongings. Instead of being given a bin bag for their belongings, Comfort Cases gives them comfort, dignity and things that help them feel cared for during an incredibly scary time.

I am a care leaver myself, so this charity is very close to my heart. I know how overwhelming it can be to experience the care system and how much small comforts can really matter when everything feels uncertain.

The incredible women who run Comfort Cases are some of the most thoughtful and caring people I’ve ever met and the work they do is genuinely amazing. I’m running my first 10K to raise money to support them and help more children feel valued and supported when they need it most.

I will be taking part in the Colchester 10K for my event running alongside many others raising money for their own charities.
