I'm raising money for The Christie by running the Manchester marathon in April 2026 because they've had a hand in caring for both my grandmas and two close family friends during their cancer journeys. Sadly my Grandma Margret passed away in 2012 and family friend Kitty Allsopp passed away in 2025. My Grandma Linda beat breast cancer and family friend Helen is currently still in treatment. I'm running this for them and for all the amazing people who have helped them at every stage of their journey.

I'm not a really a runner myself but setting myself this challenge and hopefully raising money for a charity that is close to my heart will make it all worth it. I have no time goal with this, just a goal to get myself to the race and finish it in anyway I can.
