I am incredibly honored and excited to be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon with Team Literacy Partners. As a second grade teacher, nothing means more to me than helping my students build the confidence to chase their dreams while developing strong literacy skills and a love for reading.

This journey is about more than just running a marathon, it's about showing my students that even the dreams that feel out of reach are worth pursuing. At the same time, I have the privilege of raising funds to support children and families gaining access to the literacy skills that open doors to opportunity, confidence, and a brighter future.

Literacy Partners works to break the generational barriers by empowering children, parents, and caregivers with the tools they need to succeed and thrive. Their impact extends far beyond the walls of the classroom, creating lasting change in entire communities.

I'm running towards a dream I once thought was impossible, and I hope it shows my students that they can do the same. Every mile I run represents a child gaining confidence, a family gaining opportunity, and a future waiting to be written.
