It is almost a year since I lost my Dad to cancer. Myself Jo and Ethan will be doing the wonderful St Leonard’s Hospice moonlight walk on what would have been his 74th Birthday - please could I ask my friends and family to sponsor this great event and help us raise funds for a great organisation that really helped our family in a time of great need

St Leonard’s Hospice provides care and support for people with life limiting illnesses and their families when they need it most, and we’ve been doing it for 39 years. Our patients’ needs are our priority, and our care is designed to make the best of their lives. We provide care at our Hospice, in patients’ homes, and in our community.

We provide care for free, but it’s not free to provide. It costs £7.9 million a year, and just a quarter of that comes from the government. We rely on the generosity of our community for the rest. Your donation means we can be here to help more people in York and surrounding areas when they need us most.
