Having lost family and dear friends to cancer over the years, I cannot think of a better cause to raise funds for in my 50th year.

This will be my first Ultra Challenge, after running Comrades in South Africa and I wasn't sure I wanted to do another one until a friend kindly entered me into this race. Fortunately he has agreed to run it with me.

I will be running 106km in one day on May 2nd round the Isle of Wight covering 106km with over 200m of ascent.
