Story
As a group of individuals we are walking to raise money for the fantastic Charity HELP Appeal, County Air Ambulance Trust. On the 18th July we will be walking the Tissington Trail, with a choice of distances 5, 10 or 13 miles.
One of the thousands of reasons why we are walking for this charity most recent and relevant to ourselves is:
On an ordinary Sunday, just over 6 months ago, Sue, a local farmer in Ipstones required two air ambulances and a critical care car. This was a serious accident, a fluke, without going into details, Sue had been run over by a tractor. Sue was airlifted to Royal Stoke, whose helipad enabled a quick transfer straight to treatment. Sue, who it was initially thought might never walk again has with new hips and a few unexpected holes in her is thankfully on the road to recovery. Sue is a strong, wonderful character who as part of her journey of rehabilitation and goal of walking again has signed up to join us for 5 miles of this charity walk Sue stated “I want to give back, helping to ensure others will benefit from this lifesaving funding”
