Hi all, as many of yu know Lily my daughter has been racing gokarts and during that time we have witnessed on many occasions the amazing job the air ambulance does. We have been fortunate enough not to have needed their services, but have witnessed many friends and co-drivers who have. Only this past weekend a driver pulled into the pits and had a seizure, he is now well on the road to recovery, but if it hadn't have been for the quick response from the air ambulance the outcome could have been souch worse.
This cause is so close to my heart that I am willing to go on stage and possibly make a fool of myself to rase as much money as possible, after all its not just at the race track that the air ambulance is needed, any one of us at any time could need the life saving skills of these guys & girls
Every day of the year, your local air ambulance is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of ten rescue missions a day.
The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Within minutes, our critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital critical care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
